The best way to carry bicycles with a pickup truck. Period.
In a class by itself.
The innovative bike rack system for pickup trucks which permits full access to your truck bed at all times. Building trails one day, and shredding them the next? Haul supplies in the bed and keep your bike on SideSaddle. You’ll be the talk of the trailhead.
Use your truck for truck stuff.
Pickup trucks are great for hauling large items, towing trailers, camping, and tackling rough terrain - yet, most bike racks get in the way of these things. SideSaddle works with camper shells and bed racks, keeping your bed, tailgate, and trailer hitch 100% clear.
Sleeping in the truck bed? You’ve got space.
Gotta open the tailgate? Who’s stopping you?
Towing a trailer? No problem.
Watching the backup camera? Not an issue.
Kayaks on the roof? There’s room for that now.
Keep your bike safe, secure, and visible
No more road debris on your bike. No more rubbing on your frame. No more wobbly trays, bouncing bikes, confusing straps, or thieves.
SideSaddle’s unique mounting architecture fits securely over the side rail of a pickup truck, keeping it elevated above road debris and other hazards while keeping it visible in your mirror for peace-of-mind. Its robust 3-strap system avoids frame contact and will have you saying “that’s not going anywhere”.
Plus, with integrated bike lock slots, you won’t have to worry about your bike when you pop in the store.
From rack to ride in seconds.
SideSaddle was designed from the get-go for extremely fast loading and unloading. Removing wheels becomes a thing of the past. Just press a button to release each strap or to adjust the system for different bike sizes.
SideSaddle works with road, MTB, touring, and gravel/CX bikes. It does not interfere with most accessories like top tube bags, frame bags, fenders, and panniers.

The SideSaddle Story
SideSaddle was born out of necessity. Its inventor Owen wanted to take along his mountain bike on a 2-week road trip through New England and Canada. The problem: he would be sleeping in the back of his pickup truck.
Owen didn’t want his sleeping area full of Nova Scotian mud. He didn’t want a hitch rack that would make it difficult to get in and out of the camper shell. He didn’t want to invest in an expensive roof rack that would be hard to access and likely require taking the front wheel off after every ride.
He needed a solution that kept the bicycle safe, did not interfere with his camping setup, and was easy to access. With some clever mechanical engineering and 3D printing, he developed the first SideSaddle in his garage in Buffalo, NY - just in time for the trip. It lasted the course of the road trip and stayed in use for thousands of miles. Once the concept was proven, SideSaddle was refined, tested, and re-engineered to work with a wide variety of different pickup trucks and bicycles. Now, SideSaddle is patent-pending and has matured significantly since its first iteration.
SideSaddle is built, not generated. In a world flushed with AI renders made at the press of a button, it can be hard to tell what on the internet is real and what isn’t. All depictions of SideSaddle by Cross Product Design are real-life prototypes, CAD images, or graphics and none were produced using artificial intelligence.
In true Cross Product Design fashion, SideSaddle is elegantly engineered to be highly functional and durable, yet if catastrophe strikes, it can be repaired by the user with simple tools. Cross Product Design backs SideSaddle with a no-nonsense warranty, spare parts support, customer support, and an end-of-life program to keep ancient SideSaddles out of landfills.

-
Yes! Every SideSaddle is reversible, so it can be mounted on either side (or both sides) of a pickup truck.
-
On most pickup trucks, SideSaddle sits along the side of the truck bed and comes in contact with the painted surface. SideSaddle has soft rubber pads to prevent damage to vehicle paint, but if dirt or debris contaminates the area, it could leave marks. Keep the area clean to reduce risk of damage to painted surfaces.
