What is Beta Testing?

Beta testing refers to testing a product in the final phases of development before official release. A limited number of testers use the product in real-world scenarios to evaluate features, determine possible issues, and share feedback.

Who we are looking for

Cross Product Design is looking for 10-15 participants to install SideSaddle on their vehicle, use it regularly, and provide feedback. Participants may be asked to provide photos, measurements, written opinions, or other documentation during their use.

Required to participate: You must live in or near Rochester, NY. You must own a pickup truck. You must own at least one bicycle and be able to use SideSaddle on a regular basis (around once a week or more) for the warm riding season.

You are the best candidate if: You commonly transport a bicycle with a pickup truck (twice a week or more), you own a pickup truck with a bed cap or bed rack, roof rails, and cross bars, and if you own one of the pickup trucks below:

  • 2012+ Toyota Tacoma (5-foot bed)

  • 2012+ Toyota Tacoma (6-foot bed)

  • 2022+ Toyota Tundra

  • 2015+ Ford F-150 (5.5-foot bed)

  • 2022+ Ford Maverick

  • 2017+ Ram 1500 (5.5-foot bed)

  • 2014+ Chevrolet Silverado or GMC Sierra 1500 (5.5-foot bed)

  • 2015+ Chevrolet Colorado or GMC Canyon

Our goals

We have two primary goals:

  1. Collect data on vehicles, roof racks, bed caps, etc. and verify compatibility with SideSaddle

  2. Collect feedback on new SideSaddle features

What’s in it for you

In exchange for their testing and honest feedback, each participant will keep their SideSaddle free-of-charge. Additional incentives will be given to participants who are willing to do longer-term testing and provide additional feedback.
