How It Works
Most projects follow a scheme like the one below.
1. Introduction
Contact us and describe your project, whether it’s a product you want to develop, a mechanical problem you need to solve, or a system that needs improvement. If desired, we’ll set you up with an NDA and helpful tax documentation.
2. Discussion
During your free consultation we’ll go back and forth until we fully grasp the scope of your project. We may need sketches, measurements, files, or specifications from you. We’ll discuss methods, materials, and more.
3. Quote
We’ll reach out with a quote that describes how we can complete your project with estimated lead time and cost. Most quotes are ready within 1-2 business days.
4. Approval
Review our payment methods (including CC through an account on our website, checks made out to Cross Product Design, cash, Venmo, or PayPal) and approve your quote.
5. Execution
We’ll get started on your project, whether it’s design parts in CAD, 3D printing parts, CNC milling, bending sheet metal, designing electrical circuits, or all the above. We’ll be in touch along the way and keep you posted with progress.
6. Review
We will reach out when your project or a stage of your project is complete. After the balance is paid, we’ll setup delivery. This may entail sending files, shipping parts, installing equipment, discussing the product in our office, etc.
